Split PDF & Extract Pages
Choose the pages you want and download them as a new PDF, split a PDF into several files, or save every page separately. Your PDF stays in your browser.
PDF · up to 50 MB · up to 300 pages · one document
Your PDF stays in your browser. Your original file is unchanged.
How it works
- Choose your PDF.
- Select the pages you want.
- Choose how you want them split or extracted.
- Create and download your files.
A real example
A fictional 12-page statement contains useful information on pages 1–3 and 7. Enter 1-3, 7 or tap those thumbnails, then choose One PDF from selected pages. Your new PDF contains four pages in the original order.
To split all 12 pages into smaller files, select all and choose Groups of every N pages. Enter 5 to create files containing pages 1–5, 6–10 and 11–12.
One selection, several useful outputs
Tap page cards to select or clear them. Select all, Clear selection, Odd pages and Even pages make larger documents easier to handle. Keyboard users can activate each card; desktop Shift-click selects a span. Thumbnails render as you scroll.
Select pages accepts numbers and ranges such as 1-3, 7, 10-12, with spaces allowed. Repeated references select a page once. Zero, negative, reversed and out-of-bounds ranges show an error. Outputs always preserve source-document order, regardless of click order.
One PDF from selected pages is the default. Select a single page to save one page from a PDF, or select several to extract them into one document.
Separate PDFs by ranges uses each comma-separated range as an output group. Split into ranges updates the same thumbnail selection. For example, 1-5, 6, 7-10 produces three PDFs. Overlapping groups are rejected, and you can leave other pages out.
Each selected page separately creates one file per page. Select all to split every page. Groups of every N pages divides the selected pages into consecutive groups in source order, with a smaller final group when needed.
Checked files and simple downloads
Each PDF is copied from source pages, parsed again and checked for page count, source content order, rotations and page boxes. A second PDF reader checks that every output opens. Downloads appear only after all files pass; a failed output prevents a successful job.
One output has a direct PDF download. Multiple outputs offer Download All as ZIP, plus individual downloads in a compact scrollable list. The ZIP packages files without recompressing PDF content. Names are sanitized; complex selections use a short extracted filename.
Private, with practical limits
Your PDF stays in your browser. Bytes, filenames, thumbnails, selected pages and generated files are not uploaded, placed in URLs, saved in localStorage or automatically included in feedback. Your original PDF is unchanged. Change or remove the file to clear selections and release downloads.
Choose one PDF up to 50 MB and 300 pages. Generated PDFs have a combined 50 MB limit; separate files may repeat shared document resources and grow in total size. If needed, select fewer pages per job. Large or complex PDFs may exceed available browser memory.
Pages are copied without intentional rasterization, downsampling or content recompression. Complex forms, digital signatures, bookmarks, annotations, accessibility tags and document-level behavior may not survive exactly. Signatures do not remain valid after page copying. Review important output and keep the original.
Password-protected PDFs are unsupported. Remove the password using an authorized application first. Use PDF Page Organizer for reordering and rotation, or Merge PDF to combine documents.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded?
No. Loading, previews, splitting, verification and ZIP creation run in your browser. Document data is not uploaded or stored in localStorage. Normal site requests still load the website.
Can I save only certain pages from a PDF?
Yes. Tap thumbnails or enter page ranges, then use One PDF from selected pages. Every output follows original page order.
Can I save one page from a PDF?
Yes. Clear selection and select the page you need, then extract it as a new PDF.
Can I split every page into its own PDF?
Yes. Select all and choose Each selected page separately. Download all files in one ZIP or download individual PDFs.
Can I split a PDF every 5 pages?
Yes. Select all, choose Groups of every N pages and enter 5. A final smaller group contains any remaining pages. This also works on only the pages you selected.
Can I split a PDF by page ranges?
Yes. Choose Separate PDFs by ranges and enter groups such as 1-5, 6-10, 11-18. Each comma-separated group creates one file. Groups cannot overlap; omitted pages are allowed.
Does splitting reduce PDF quality?
The tool copies source page content rather than turning pages into images or intentionally reducing image resolution. Complex PDF features may not survive exactly; inspect the result.
Can I split a password-protected PDF?
Not here. Remove the password in an authorized PDF application first, then choose the unlocked copy. This tool does not crack or remove passwords.
Does this change my original PDF?
No. The tool creates new files and leaves your original unchanged. Keep the original for reference.
Can I split PDFs on my phone?
Yes. Choose a file with the native picker and tap page cards. Dragging and keyboard shortcuts are optional. Device memory can limit unusually complex documents.
